Model kidnaps baby to get back with her ex….

Toronto - A 24-year-old New York model, Michelle Marie Gopaul, was sentenced to two-and-a-half years in prison for child abduction.  The beautiful model orchestrated a huge scam to kidnap the child.

The details…

Gopaul placed fraudulent ads on Craigslist, posing as a casting agent.  Her ads specified that her company was looking for a baby girl of Indian descent to star in a Bollywood film.  She used the name, Dianne Miller, and offered families $7500.00 to $15,000 for the role.

When potential clients, Sejal and Viral Patel, showed up for the casting call, Gopaul informed them that she wanted to see how their 1 month old baby would react to strangers.  Once she took the baby into another room; she disappeared.  She slipped away from the abduction site in a taxi.

Gopaul took the baby to her ex boyfriend and his sisters.  They experienced a recent break-up, and apparently, she was using the baby to get gain him back.  Being suspicious, the male and his sisters took the baby to authorities.

Prior to the incident, Gopaul posted pictures on her social network sites showing that she was pregnant.  Of course those pictures were fraudulent. 

This incident just cost her 30 months of her life in prison.  No boyfriend or girlfriend is worth a day in jail.
